Clean energy
Urgency of action

Traditional resources like coal and oil don’t last forever and contribute to a lot of carbon emissions as well as pollution. A much better alternative is to use renewable energy sources. This is also strongly supported by policy makers, often through subsidizations or tax reductions for installation- and production of renewable energy sources.

UN Sustainable Development Goals:
7. Affordable and clean energy
9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure
11. Sustainable cities and communities
12. Responsible consumption and production
Talkpool’s contribution
Both in the telecom as well as the smart building industry Talkpool offers renewable energy supply systems. In the telecom industry, Talkpool provides solar parks to power remote telecom sites, in connection to its remote site management system.
In the smart building industry, Talkpool offers solar panels to housing corporations.
This is done after first analyzing the building’s total energy need, so that less valuable overproduction of energy can be limited while at the same time the building’s use of renewable energy is maximized. Additionally, smart electricity meters are installed to monitor and report on the production of electricity by the solar panels, to quickly detect problems but also to report to authorities on the produced quantities, which is in some countries needed for tax deductions. Finally, the company provides subscription models to housing corporations, so that it fits into the individual measurement and billing system, further incentivizing housing corporations to adopt renewable energy sources.
